Seacrest Search Ltd
Cookie policy
Last updated 12 October 2026
This policy explains what cookies are, which ones we use on seacrestsearch.com, why we use them, and how you can control them. It should be read with our Privacy policy.
1. Who we are
Seacrest Search Ltd (company number: 17467676; registered office 167-169 Great Portland Street, 5th Floor, London, W1W 5PF) is the operator of this website and the data controller for personal data collected through cookies. Contact: info@seacrestsearch.com
2. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help a site work, remember your choices and understand how it is used. We also refer to similar technologies, such as pixels, tags and local storage, as “cookies” in this policy.
3. How we use cookies and your consent
Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR) and the UK GDPR, we place cookies that are not strictly necessary only with your consent. At present this website uses only strictly necessary cookies, which do not need consent, so we do not show a cookie banner. If we add cookies that do need consent, such as analytics, we will ask first with a banner that lets you accept all, reject all, or choose by category. Rejecting will be as easy as accepting, we will not use pre-ticked boxes, and you will be able to change your mind at any time.
4. The cookies we use
We carried out a cookie audit of this website in October 2026. The website itself sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser’s local storage. We do not use analytics, advertising or social media cookies.
The only cookies that may be set come from Cloudflare Turnstile, the security check on our candidate and client enquiry forms. It confirms that a form is being sent by a person rather than an automated program, and it only runs when one of those forms is on screen.
| Category | Provider | Purpose | Names | Duration | Consent needed? |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Cloudflare, Inc. (Turnstile) | Security: protects our enquiry forms from spam and automated abuse, and records that the check has been passed so it is not repeated. | cf_clearance, cf_chl_* |
Session, or a short period set by Cloudflare | No |
These cookies are set by Cloudflare inside the security check, not by us, and are kept separate for each website, so they cannot be used to follow you across other sites. Cloudflare’s own Turnstile privacy addendum and cookie policy have more detail.
We use no functional, analytics or advertising cookies, so there are none to list in those categories.
5. Third-party cookies
Some cookies are set by third parties, such as analytics providers, social networks or embedded content (for example videos or maps). These providers act as independent controllers or as our processors, depending on the service, and have their own privacy policies. Some may transfer data outside the UK using safeguards permitted by UK law, such as the ICO’s International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
6. Managing your cookies
- Our website: we do not currently set any cookies that need your consent, so there are no cookie settings to change. If that changes, a “Cookie settings” link will appear in the footer of every page.
- Your browser: most browsers let you block or delete cookies. See your browser’s help pages (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge). Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the site working, such as the security check on our enquiry forms.
- Device and platform controls: you can limit ad tracking through your device’s privacy settings.
If you withdraw consent, we will stop using the relevant cookies, but this does not affect the lawfulness of earlier use.
7. Personal data collected through cookies
Cookies may collect your IP address, device and browser details, pages visited and the website you came from. We use this data for the purposes in section 4, relying on your consent (for non-essential cookies) or our legitimate interests in running a secure and functioning website (for essential cookies). We keep it for as long as stated in the table above, and analytics data in aggregated form for up to 26 months. You have the rights described in our Privacy policy, including the right to object and to withdraw consent.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when we change the cookies we use or when the law changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised. We will ask for fresh consent where required.
