Last updated 12 October 2026
Please read these terms carefully before using our website. By using it, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
1. About us
This website, seacrestsearch.com (the “Site”), is operated by Seacrest Search Ltd (“Seacrest”, “we”, “us”), a company registered in England and Wales under company number 17467676, with its registered office at 167-169 Great Portland Street, 5th Floor, London, W1W 5PF. Contact us at info@seacrestsearch.com
We operate as an employment agency / employment business in the real estate sector. Our services to candidates and clients are governed by separate terms of business, which take priority over these terms if there is a conflict.
2. Using the Site
You may use the Site for lawful purposes connected with finding work, finding staff or learning about our services. You are responsible for ensuring that your device and internet connection are suitable, and that anyone using the Site through your connection knows and follows these terms.
3. Job listings and applications
- Job adverts are published in good faith, but roles may be filled, changed or withdrawn without notice, and we do not guarantee that any vacancy is available or that any application will lead to an interview or offer.
- Registering with us and applying through the Site is free for candidates. We do not charge work-seekers fees for finding or trying to find them work.
- You must give accurate, complete and truthful information in any application or registration. We may reject or remove applications that appear false or misleading.
- Submitting your details lets us contact you about suitable roles and process your information as set out in our Privacy policy. We will not send your CV to a prospective employer without your agreement.
4. Accounts and security
If you create an account or candidate profile, keep your login details confidential and tell us promptly if you suspect misuse. We may disable an account if we reasonably believe these terms have been broken or security is at risk.
5. Content you submit
You keep ownership of your CV and any material you submit (“User Content”). You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, copy, edit for formatting, and share it with prospective employers as needed to provide our services, for as long as we hold it in line with our Privacy policy. You confirm that User Content is accurate, that you have the right to submit it, and that it does not infringe anyone’s rights or contain unlawful, defamatory or offensive material.
6. Acceptable use
You must not:
- use the Site in a way that is unlawful, fraudulent, discriminatory or harmful;
- submit false applications, impersonate another person or misrepresent your qualifications or identity;
- introduce viruses, malware or other harmful code, or attempt unauthorised access to the Site, our servers or other users’ data;
- use bots, scrapers or automated tools to collect data or job listings, or copy the Site’s content for resale or competing services, without our written permission;
- send unsolicited commercial messages through the Site, or use it to harvest contact details; or
- interfere with the Site’s operation or place an unreasonable load on its infrastructure.
Breaking these rules may be a criminal offence under the Computer Misuse Act 1990, and we may report it to the relevant authorities.
7. Intellectual property
We and our licensors own all intellectual property rights in the Site, including its design, text, logos, graphics and software. You may view, print and download extracts for your own personal, non-commercial use, or for internal business use in connection with our services, provided you keep copyright notices intact. Any other use requires our prior written permission. “Seacrest Search” and our logo are our trade marks.
8. Information on the Site
Content on the Site, including market commentary and salary guides, is for general information only and is not legal, financial, tax or career advice. We try to keep the Site accurate and up to date, but we do not guarantee that it is complete, current or error-free, and we may change it at any time.
9. Availability
We do not promise that the Site will always be available or uninterrupted. We may suspend, withdraw or restrict it, for example for maintenance, without notice, and we are not liable if it is unavailable at any time.
10. Links to other websites
The Site may link to third-party websites, such as employers, job boards or professional bodies. We do not control and are not responsible for their content, privacy practices or availability. Following a link is at your own risk. You may link to our home page if you do so fairly and lawfully and do not suggest an association or endorsement we have not given.
11. Our responsibility to you
- Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are not affected.
- Subject to the above, the Site and its content are provided “as is”. We exclude, as far as the law allows, all implied warranties and conditions.
- If you are using the Site for business purposes, we are not liable for loss of profit, revenue, business, goodwill or anticipated savings, or for indirect or consequential loss.
- We are not liable for loss or damage caused by viruses or other harmful material that may infect your device because of your use of the Site or sites linked to it. We recommend using up-to-date security software.
- We are not responsible for the decisions or conduct of employers or candidates, or for the terms and outcome of any engagement that results from an introduction, except as set out in our terms of business.
12. Privacy and cookies
How we use personal data is explained in our Privacy policy, and how we use cookies in our Cookie policy. By using the Site you acknowledge them.
13. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or end your access to the Site, without notice, if you break these terms or we reasonably suspect misuse. You may stop using the Site at any time and ask us to close your account and delete your data, subject to our legal retention duties.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version on the Site when you use it is the one that applies, so please check this page occasionally. Where a change is material, we will take reasonable steps to tell registered users.
15. General
- Entire agreement: these terms, with the documents they refer to, are the whole agreement between us about use of the Site.
- Severability: if any provision is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the rest remains in force.
- No waiver: a delay or failure to enforce a right is not a waiver of it.
- Third parties: no one other than you and us has rights to enforce these terms under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.
- Transfer: we may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms to another organisation. You may not transfer yours without our written consent.
16. Governing law and disputes
These terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or the Site (including non-contractual disputes), are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts. Nothing here affects your statutory consumer rights.
